Dive into books with Nottingham City Libraries and the Castle!
All this week Nottingham’s Libraries are heading “under the sea”! You’ll be swept out on the tide and all readers, young and old, will go on a fantastic nautical journey for the annual National Bookstart Week! The first since Nottingham became a UNESCO City of Literature!
Join us at a special under the sea themed event at Nottingham Castle on Thursday 9 June, 10.30am to 2.30pm. Teaming up with The Imagination Library, it will be a jam-packed day of stories and lots of fun activities to inspire families to read together every day:
– Crafts and activities,
– A FREE book for every child
– Geoffrey Jumper’s amazing under the sea shadow puppet show!
– Balloon modelling
– Fun dancing
– Face painting
Plus, don’t forget to follow the trail from the Castle to Central Library to claim a special Bookstart bear prize! You can also get your free entry voucher for Nottingham Castle by visiting any City Library with your CityCard or library card.
